Red5 and Adobe Media Server 3 blended solution

Yes you read that right!

I'm pretty proud to announce that we've come up with a pretty innovative ecosystem that mixes the best of both technologies.

Bug Squashing

We're in the middle of bug sqashing season. There is a major bug which to date, was not addressed. It causes the streaming server (Red5) to freeze when playing archived videos beyond 15 minutes.

In order to work on it, we decided to pull the plug on archived content until its reasonably resolved.

Global Reggae Conference 2008 on UWI-TV

UWI-TV will be streaming sessions from the Global Reggae Conference. Just click on the "Live Event" Tab on the UWI-TV homepage and select the stream that you want to watch. We plan to carry the following events live. All times are Jamaican times. If you are not in Jamaica, to convert to your own time please click here.

Exciting times ahead

As we draw closer and closer to a public launch, things are really starting to develop greater momentum around these parts. More features are being added daily and those already in place are being heavily finetuned.

2007 Graduation Shown Live on UWI-TV.

The 2007 UWI Mona Graduation Ceremony will be streamed live today, Friday Nov 9 and tomorrow Sat Nov 10, at 4pm. The stream will also be broadcasted via the Multimedia Streaming page on UWI Mona's website. Public beta test 1 closed

The first public beta test of the live streaming functionality was completed successfully.
There are a few kinks we've identified that we'll be working on in the next few weeks. We'd like to use this opportunity to extend a heartfelt thanks to all those who tuned in on September 6th. Your feedback was invaluable in helping us figure out the kinks in the system.

Look out for another public beta test to be advertised via Mona Messaging soon.
